Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce resistance and vibration due to rotation of the centrifugal machine by folding back the open end part of a rotary shell which rotates along with a swing type rotor as well as reduce air resistance so as to easily form a circular degree and to impart strength not deforming the circular degree even during rotation.
CONSTITUTION: In order to reduce air resistance of the swing type rotor 13 of a centrifugal machine, a round rotary shell 19 rotating along with the rotor 13 but, unless a circular degree is accurately molded and the circular degree is not deformed during rotation, air resistance is generated and metal sound such that the main body 20 of the shell 19 and a lid part 21 are mutually rubbed at the contact part therebetween is generated. In order to eliminate this phenomenon, the opened end part of the rotary shell main body 20 is folded back and a strip like reinforcing part 26 is integrally formed along the outer peripheral surface thereof. By this structure, in molding the shell main body 20, the circular degree can be easily formed and deformation is not generated. In addition, a packing 27 is held between the shell main body and the lid to prevent such a phenomenon that the main body 20 and the lid 21 generate metal friction sound during rotation.
