Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove iron rust in a fluid in good efficiency by a method wherein a magnet formed into a conical form is arranged in a flow passage to adsorb iron rust and the adsorbed iron rust is fallen at a sump part.
CONSTITUTION: A rod like magnet 2 is formed into a conical shape so as to cover almost all cross area of a flow passage through which a fluid is flowed and the resulting conical magnet 2 is arranged in the flow passage to adsorb iron rust in a fluid. After adsorption, said magnet 2 is moved to a sump part 4 provided to the lower part of the flow passage and, when the magnet 2 is demagnetized, the adsorbed iron rust is released and fallen to be accumulated in the sump part. After this process, iron rust is discharged out of the flow passage by a discharge means 5. As described above, iron rust in a fluid is removed without inhibiting flow in good efficiency.
