Abstract
PURPOSE: To remarkably enhance dehydration effect of sludge by a filter cloth by carrying out washing of the filter cloth in a dry system by using a rotary filter cloth surface press beating rod having a nozzle port injecting compressed air.
CONSTITUTION: After dehydrated sludge is scraped off by a scraper, a filter cloth 1a is passed through a cleaning chamber 19a and turned to a vertical condition from a horizontal condition by rolls 15a, 16a for advancing the filter cloth vertically and returned to the horizontal condition again by rolls 17a, 18a for moving the same horizontally. On the way of the filter clth advancing region, plural cleaning beating arms 23a having four arms to right angle directions are provided so as to shifted every at 45° and, similarily, compressed air nozzle ports 24a are also provided and, because these elements carry out rotary motion by rotating a main shaft 2a, the filter cloth 1a are pushed and beaten from the rear surface thereof by the arms 23a, water containing sludge in a clogged condition is driven out onto the filter cloth 1a and released from the filter cloth 1a by blown compressed air.
