Abstract
PURPOSE: To remarkably enhance dehydration effect of sludge by a filter cloth by carrying out washing of the filter cloth in a dry system by using a filter cloth surface shaking rod having a nozzle port injecting compressed air.
CONSTITUTION: After dehydrated sludg is scraped off by a scraper, a filter cloth 1a is passed through a cleaning chamber 19a between a roll 13a and a roll 14a and is made vertical by rolls 15a, 16a for advancing the filter cloth vertically and returned to a horizontal run by rolls 17a, 18a for moving the filter cloth horizontally. On the way of the filter cloth advancing region, because a pair of cleaning arms 23a and a pair of compressed air nozzles 24a provided to a hollow rotary shaft 20a having a small inner cylinder through which air is passed provided to the inside thereof at an angle A in an angular form are provided in the chamber 19a, when the arms 23a are reciprocated from the rear surface of the filter cloth 1a at an angle C larger than the attaching angle A to push and strike the filter cloth 1a, water containing sludge in a clogged condition is driven out onto the filter cloth 1a and released from the filter cloth 1a by blown compressed air.
