Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve precise detection with high detection sensitivity by a small- sized, compact and rigid structure by wounding a thin plate of prescribed magnetic alloy with a coil for output, and then installing this in a rigid base. CONSTITUTION:A base 2 consists of two channel-shaped metallic frames, and a thin plate 1 of magnetic alloy wherein an amorphous material contains fine crystals is sandwiched and bonded in the frames. Both the lengthwise end parts of the thin plate 1 are supported and fixed to the base 2 with certain tensile force, thereby maintaining a plane shape. The thin plate 1 is wound with a coil 3 for output. When force P accompanying oscillation or impact is applied directly or indirectly, the thin plate 1 is strained and its lengthwise strain causes lengthwise magnetization to generate electro-motive force (e) across the coil 3 according to variation in magnetism with the oscillation, etc., so that the output waveform of the electromotive force (e) varies with time. From this output waveform, the oscillation, etc., is detected.
