Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the local dirtying and deformation of an air cleaner element by forming a vortex generation part at the confluent point of a couple of intake pipes which introduce sucked air of an engine, and then detecting the frequency of the generation of a generated vortex. CONSTITUTION:In an air cleaner case 6 which has an air intake 7 and an air cleaner element 8, a detector body 9 for the amount of sucked air which has a couple of intake pipes 10 and 11 equipped with filletes is connected. At the confluent point of said intake pipes 10 and 11, a vortex generation part 14 is formed, and a vortex generated by the vortex generation part is stabilized by vortex stabilizers (plate) 15, 15', and 15'' to detect the frequency of the generation of the periodical vortex which corresponds to the flow rate of the sucked air is detected by vortex detectors 16 and 16'. Therefore, air passing through the air cleaner element never flows to one concentrated part, so that the generation of local dirtying and deformation due to concentrated flow are prevented.
