Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the short-circuit between the layers of the laminated core as a structure member to be measured with a high sensitivity, by providing a magnetic flux detection coil outside the exciting coil for the detection of the flux perpendicular or parallel to it. CONSTITUTION:An exciting coil 2 is wound around an insulated nonmagnetic cylinder 1 and then flux detection coils 5 and 6 are wound over it coaxially. The coils 5 and 6 are wound around the exciting coil 2 at equal spaces to enable the detection of flux element perpendicular to the exciting coil 2 and connect them in reverse series. This probe is brought close to a laminated core 3 and a high-frequency current is supplied to the exciting coil 2, then the magnetic fluxes are produced in the main flux detection coil inside the exciting coil 2 and the flux detection coils 5 and 6. If there is no short-circuit between the layers of the core, there is no phase difference in the perpendicular element of the flux, as compared with the central flux of the exciting coil 2.
