Abstract
PURPOSE:To relax the compressive stress generating from the breakdown of superconduction on a coil by a method wherein, when a superconductive field coil is wound around a spool through the intermediary of an insulator, an elastic material is inserted between the circular part of the spool on the coil and the insulator. CONSTITUTION:When the superconductive field coil 3 is spirally wound around the spool 16 through the intermediary of the insulator 17, the elastic material 19 is inserted in the outer side of the section which is opposing to the circular part of the coil 3. As a result, the coil 3 can be supported securely in a steady state, and when the superconductive breakdown occurs, the compressive stress generated at the coil 3 can be alleviated.
