Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve bending rigidity of shafting of a rotary section, enable high speed rotation and accumulate inertia energy in increasing quantity by composing a flywheel of a cylinderlike spider of enlarged outer diameter provided with the tightly fitted pural number of discs having a central hole each.
CONSTITUTION: A flywheel 21 is composed of the plural number of discs 22 in layers provided with a central hole 22a of considerable large diameter each. A spider 23 is directly connected to a lower end of in intermediate shaft 3 and provided with the flywheel 21 tightly fitted along its outer circumference. The spider 23 can enlarge its outside diameter D, selection of which is optional in accordance with required bending rigidity. Thus, bending rigidity of rotary section of the flywheel 21 may be improved, the first critical speed of the shafting is increased, speed of revolution can be set high, and accumulation of inertia energy can be increased in quantity.
