Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the outflow of fuel, by providing the float of a carburetor with a spring which energizes a valve member in a closing direction when a vehicle has overturned.
CONSTITUTION: A float 2 interlocked with a valve member 3 is provided in the float chamber a1 of a carburetor (a) to regulate fuel from a fuel supply passage 1 by the vertical displacement of the float 2. A spring 13 is fitted between the top of the float 2 and the casing of the carburetor (a). Since the elastic force of the spring 13 is relatively weak, the spring does not hinder the vertical displacement of the float 2 normally. At the time of overturning, the float 2 is pulled up by the spring 13 to surely close the valve member 3.
