Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the temperatur of the circumferential surface of a heat roller by a heat-sensitive element at a center part by positioning a bimetal on the one-end circumferential surface of the heat roller, and then controlling the fixation allowable temperature of the circumferential surface of the heat roller through the sensing of the bimetal. CONSTITUTION:At one lengthwise end part G or E of the heat roller 1 of a fixing roller consisting of the heat roller 1 and a press-contacting roller 2, a two-position detecting element 4 composed of a bimetal is positioned extending over the circumferential surface to operate at the upper-limit and lower-limit temperatures of the fixation allowable temperature of the circumferential surface of the heat roller 1, and each detection signal of this two-position detecting element 4 is used as a warning signal for a warning display part. The two- position detecting element 4 has, for example, a bimetal contact piece X and fixed contact pieces Y and Z, and a heat-sensitive element 3 provided at the lengthwise center part F of the heat roller 1 senses fixation set temperature, so that the tip part of the bimetal contact piece X touches the fixed contact piece Y or Z.
