Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure the volume of the gas in insulating oil safely and easily by feeding the oil into a scale pipe of a measuring bottle communicated with the scale pipe in the lower part, and measuring the difference in oil levels after the upper part is evacuated. CONSTITUTION:A valve V1 is closed and the inside of a metering bottle 4, a measurng bottleIand conduits 3, 7, 10 is evacuated. Next, the valve V1 is opened to feed a prescribed amt. of insulating oil from an oil tank 6 into the bottle 4, then to feed the same into the bottle 1. At this time, the insulating oil 11 in the bottle 1 maintains the same level. In this state, the upper parts of a scale 2 and the bottle 1 are evacuated. Further, when a valve V7 is opened to feed the insulating oil in the pipe 2, the insulating oil enters the inside of the pipe 2 while producing foam. As a result, a difference is provided in the oil levels between the pipe 2 and the bottle 1, and if this is measured, the volume of the gas in the oil is measured.
