Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently obtain O2-rich air from the atmosphere with a compact and lightweight oxygen enricher using a selectively permeable membrane whose O2 permeability is higher than the N2 permeability.
CONSTITUTION: A selectively oxygen permeable membrane 14 with ≥2.0 ratio between the coeffts. of O2 permeation and N2 permeation and a porous support 13 are formed on one side or both isde of a support plate 11, an outlet 15 discharging enriched air is attached, and the periphery is fixed with an adhesive to form an element. A number of such elements are superposed on each other to fabricate an enriching module 21. Air introduced through a filter 44 by working a cross-flow fan 45 is used to cool a cooler 41 and fed to the supply inlet 22 of the module 21. In the module 21 O2 enriched air is produced, and this air is passed through the outlet 15, a header 25 and the coolr 41, freed of water with a water separator 42, and discharged into the outside from a discharge outlet 50.
