Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the titled device smaller in size and the enriching efficiency of the specific gas higher by laminating the plural elements each consisting of a gas flow chamber permitting exhausting a predetermined amount of gas, selective permeable membranes, supporting plates provided with rich gas flow grooves, etc. thereby constituting a high-pressure vessel.
CONSTITUTION: An element is constituted by sandwiching an element frame consisting of a mixed gas feed port 3, gas feed paths 3, distributing holes 5, exhaust paths 7, discharge port 8, etc. by supporting plates each consisting of a porous body 1, a selective permeable membrane 10 (selected according to objects), an rich gas flow grooves 13 and a take-out port 14. The plural elements are laminated to consitute a module as a pressure vessel body. Mixed gases form dispersed parallel flows from one direction to the other and the mixed gas flow chamber permits exhausting of poor gas of more than about 1.5 times the rich gas. This apparatus is small in size, light in weight, is high in separating efficiency of the specific gas and can be effectively utilized as a separating device for enriching O2 in air or recovering He therefrom.
