In the printing command issued from a CPU to the printing device, an 8 bits command COM is included. When the COM is a printing command and the data which is read out of a main memory device by the printer is a control code, the frame is printed together with the characters corresponding to the following character data. Therefore the accentuation of the specified characters in a sentence can be rapidly implemented, and a table format can be printed at the same time.
