Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled polyester film by a method wherein a composition of both polyethylene terephthalic (PET) amorphous copolyester and PET polyester which have cyclohexane dimethanol as a copolymer component is made into a film and stretched. CONSTITUTION:A composition of 50-100% by weight of amorphous copolyester derived from terephthalic acid (derivative), 50-80% of ethylene glycol and 20- 50% of cyclohexane dimethanol (A) and 0-50% of polyester copolymer composed of terephthalic acid (derivative) and ethylene glycol (B) is made into a film by the common tubular process to obtain the desired film by stretching uniaxially, biaxially or multiaxially. If necessary, lubricant, antistatic agent or other additives may be mixed with the film. USE:Thermally shrinkable labels (or cap seals), cup covers, shrinkable packing film, etc.
