Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure a proper detection for the exchange time of a bag filter, by providing a surface state detecting means to detect the light given from the surface of the bag filter and recognizing the filter exchange time based on the output of the said detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A case 17 having a transparent part 18 is set opposite to a bag filter 15 attached to an exhaust pipe 16, and a surface state detecting means consisting of a projecting part 19 and a light receiving part 20 is set into the case 17. The light given from the part 19 is reflected on the outer surface 15-2 of the filter 15 and received at the part 20. Thus the voltage is caused in accordance with the intensity of the reflected light to be compared with the reference voltage VR through a comparator 23. The voltage of the reflected light is usually larger than the voltage VR, and accordingly the voltage of a low level is delivered from the circuit 23. However, the voltage of a high level is delivered in case when the filter 15 is used for a long period of time to be blackish, and the output of the part 20 becomes smaller than the voltage VR. Thus the exchange time of the filter is properly detected.
