Abstract

PURPOSE:To protect a steering sensor from an external force by fixedly housing the body of the sensor in a vacant space of a steering stem which makes a center line of steering at the side of a handle and fitting one end of the body to a main frame arm of a motorcycle, thereby using a dead space. CONSTITUTION:A main body 11 of a sensor 10 which detects steering of a handle 9 for a car body is removably inserted into an opening 5a at the lower end of a steering stem 5. A sensor body 11 is fixed to the steering stem 5 by means of a fitting arm 13 of which one end is caulked to the main body 11 and the other end is tightened to a bridge 4 with a bolt 12, turning together with the stem5, the bridge 4 or so when a car is steered by the handle 9. The arm is held by a bearing bush 14 inside the main body of the sensor 11, contains a shaft 15 and acts as a movable member of the sensor 10. One end of the arm 16 is joined with the end of the shaft 15 with a screw 17 and the other end is tightened to a chassis frame 1 with a bolt 18.
