Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a shake of heat at the time of turning round a corner and the like and also its downward slipping while taking a nap by providing a side supporter, to support sides of a head, on both sides of a main body of a headrest on a seat back in such a way as said supporters can be rotatively projected forward relative to the front of said main body. CONSTITUTION:Side supporters 11, 12 are composed of the vertical disc-like first frames 13, 14, an arm 15 which supports said frames by means of its both ends, stopper plates 16 fixed to said arm 15 in its middle, the first pads 17, 18 to cover frames 13, 14, and the first trim covers 19, 20 wrapping the whole pads 17, 18. The arm 15, to work as an axis of rotation when side supporters are rotated forward relative to the main body 10 of a headrest, is equipped with bending flat parts 21, 22 at its both ends which are fixed to the internal faces of the frames 13, 14. The main body 10 is composed of a hollow cylinder-like frame 24, a pad 27 surrounding the frame 24, and a trim cover 28 wrapping wholly the frame 24 and the pad 27. The frame 24 is opened at its both ends and a pair of fitting parts is provided respectively for the arm and the stay on the lower parts of front and rear sides of the frame 24.
