CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric ceramic plate constituting an element 18 is divided into two in the widthwise direction of the element 18 to form a couple of ceranic plates 20a and 21a and another couple of plates 20b and 21b. Control voltages E1 and E2 for those couples are applied indepently, and the voltages E1 and E2 are applied to only the ceramic plates 20b and 21a firsdently. When the voltage E1 is made high and the voltage E2 is zero, the element 18 is twisted by +alpha deg. in a direction D and when E1 is zero and the E2 is made high, it is twisted by +alpha deg. in a direction F.
