Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration of video quality due to the change in tape speed at reproduction, by combining the first electromechanical converter providing rotary head with the second electromechanical converter.
CONSTITUTION: The piezoelectric element bimorph 32 moving toward longitudinal direction providing the head 33 at the tip is fitted to the rotating body 31 rotation- freely coupled to the fixed shaft 30. Further, pressure is exerted on this side surface with the spring 34 and another side surface is depressed with the piezoelectric element bimorph 35. The head location is transversally moved by applying a voltage to it. To increase this amount of shift, the contact points are provided in close to the fixed shift. By applying required control signal to the bimorph with this constitution, since the magnetic head is moved for the synthesized shift between the lengthwise shaft of the recording track and the orthogonal direction to it, the deterioration in still, slow and double speed reproduction can be avoided.
