Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily separate and extract signals by transmitting signals through one light transmitting path, by converting the transmitted optical signals in which the main signal and a subordinate signal are coupled together after they are converted into lights, into electric signals at the receiving side, and by separating said electric signals into low frequency components and PCM base band signals. CONSTITUTION:An electrooptic converter 1 for main signal converts an electric pulse signal, such as a PCM signal, etc., which is a main signal A, into an optical pulse. An electrooptic converter for subordinate signal 2 converts a low frequency signal which is a subordinate signal C having a frequency which is lower than the pulse signal of the signal A, into a light having an intensity corresponding to the amplitude. A light coupler 3 couples the output light of the converter 1 and that of the converter 2 together. A photoelectric converter 8 receives the output light from the coupler 3 through a light transmitting path 7, and converts the output light into an electric signal in accordance with the quantity of the light thus received. A separating device 9 separates and extracts a main signal G and a subordinate signal H from the output signal of the converter 8.
