Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a grinder material made of metal such as Zn with a weight ratio of more than 90% so as to improve a safety against an explosion, and fire of powder dusts generated when a grinding operation is performed, increase a mass and an effect of removing burrs, and prevent too excessive rough surface of the product.
CONSTITUTION: The material is of a spherical or substatial spherical metal such as Zn with a granular diameter of about 300 to 2,800μ, Vickers hardness of about 40 to 180 and a weight ratio of more than 90%. Since its mass is about 2.5 times as that of grinder material of aluminum, a high burr removing effect is attained and a high safety against an explosion or fire of powder dusts may be provided. In an alloy of ferrite metal, a die cast surface is made black, and alloy of Zn shows a clear colour.
