Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a polyamide film provided with high water permeability and high solute separability by producing said film in such a way that a hydrophilic monomer having ethylenic unsated. bonds is graft polymerized and is in a noncrystallized state.
CONSTITUTION: A polyamide film is of self-supporting type, and acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, acrylamide, methacrylamide, β-hydroxyethyl acrylate, etc. are enumerated for the hydrophilic vinyl monomer to be graft-polymerized with this film. The graft polymn. is accomplished by irradiating γ rays or acting a polymn. initiator and the noncrystallization is accomplished by introducing oxymethyl radicals to part of the amide bonds. According to such method, many and diversified kind of functional groups are introduced without degrading the solvent resistance and mechanical strength of the raw material film and the selectivity of water and solute is controlled easily.
