Abstract
PURPOSE:To give a pole at an othogonal mode resonance frequency to the attenuation characteristics, by coupling only the normal mode between the two cavities and not coupling at the orthogonal mode. CONSTITUTION:A microwave inputted from an input waveguide 1 passes through a coupling hole 8 and couples to a cavity resonator 3. The 1st stage cavity resonator 3 couples with a cavity resonator 4 through a coupling hole 15 and the cavity resonator 4 is outputted to an output waveguide through a coupling hole 10. The cavity resonators 3 and 4 are tuned to a resonance frequency f1 with resonance frequency adjusting screws 5 and 11 to form the two stages of band pass filters. On the other hand, the resonance frequency of the mode orthogonal to the normal mode in the cavity resonator 3 is adjusted to a resonance frequency f2 with an adjusting screw 19, a coupling adjusting screw 7 is inserted and coupled with the resonance frequency of the normal mode in the cavity resonator 3. Since the orthogonal mode is not coupled with the cavity resonator 4, an attenuation pole can be given to the frequency f2.
