Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce spurious response at 3f0 (center frequency) and to extend the blocking region, by providing at least one 60 deg. coupling section with a line of a coupling section of a paralel coupling filter using a TEM line resonator. CONSTITUTION:Electrical lengths theta01-theta34 of coupling sections are selected as theta01=theta34=90 deg., theta12=theta23=60 deg. at center frequency f0 and input/output lines 81, 82 and resonators 83-85 of lambdag/2 of both end open type as a TEM line resonator constitute the coupling sections. Since the resonators 83-85 are of lambdag/2 type, spurious resonance is caused at nf0(n=1,2,3) and since the coupling electric length is 90 deg. for the coupling lengths theta01, theta34, no coupling is produced at 2f0, 4f0, 6f0 and also no coupling is caused at 3f0, 6f0, 9f0 since the coupling electric length for theta12, theta23 is 60 deg.. Thus, in the response of this filter, the spurious response at 2f0, 3f0. 4f0 can be reduced.
