Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the influence of tension applied during cable laying by giving a sag to an optical cable core, by stranding heated conductors around the cooled optical fiber cable core into one. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber cable core 2 formed by stranding optical fiber core wires previously is supplied from a reel 1 and passed through a cooling device 3 right in front of a stranding position. Conductors 5 unreeled from rotary reels 4 are stranded around the optical cable core, and then wound around a take-up drum 8 as an optical fiber composite power line 7. In this case, the conductors 5 are stranded while heated by a heating device which is not shown in the figure.
