Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled composition that comprises a specific bismaleimide, an N-vinylpyrrolidone, a triallyl cyanurate and a polymerization initiator, thus being suitably used as a heat-resistant insulation, because of its high strength at elevated temperature.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A bismaleimide of the formula (R1 is H, methyl; R2 is divalent organic group) such as N,N'-(methylene-di-p-phenylene)bismaleimide, (B) an N-vinylpyrrolidone such as N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone or 70/30 weight ratio coprepolymer of N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone with diallyl phthalate, (C) a triallyl cyanurate such as trially cyanurate or its prepolymer and (D) a polymerization initiator such as dicumyl peroxide are used so that the weight ratio of A/B/C becomes 1/(0.05W10)/(0.05W50) and the amount of component D is appropriate to give the objective composition. Further, according to application, various kinds of materials are incorporated.
