Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the life characteristics of a battery by using Pb-Ca alloy for a negative grid and applying 2 sorts of alloy families consisting of Pb-Ca alloy and Pb-low Sb alloy to constitute positive grids while providing these 2 sorts alternately. CONSTITUTION:Pb-Ca alloy (calcium content is about 0.1wt%) is used for a negative grid, and two sorts of Pb-Ca family alloy and Pb-low Sb family alloy (antimony content is less then about 2.5wt%) are used for positive grids. When positive and negative grids are combined alternately, grids made of Pb-Ca family alloy and grids made of Pb-low Sb family alloy are arranged alternately in positive plates themselves and the charged amount of an active material applied to a positive plate including a grid made of Pb-Ca family alloy is more on the top and less on the bottom.
