Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a cyanate ester resin having improved impact strength, flexing characteristics and workability, by blending a cyanate resin compsn. and a modified butadiene resin into which a (meth)acryloyl group is introduced.
CONSTITUTION: A cyanate ester resin compsn. is mixed a modified butadiene resin having an introduced acryloyl and/or methacryloyl group on its side chain and/or at its terminal. Said modified butadiene resin can be produced by reacting a polybutadiene resin having number-average MW of 300W5,000 and contg. hydroxyl or carboxyl group on its side chain and/or its terminal, with a compd. of the formula wherein R3 is H, methyl; l is 1W3; Y is residue of an org. compd. having a functional group such as halogen or hydroxyl group.
USE: Laminates, cast articles, adhesives, paint, etc.
