Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the cure accelerator composed of a specific Co compound, an alkali or alkaline earth metal salt of an organic acid, and copper salt of an organic acid, capable of giving a light-colored clear titled resin, at low cost achieved by the reduction of the Co content, with improved molding cycle achieved by the shortening of the curing time.
CONSTITUTION: The objective cure accelerator consists of (A) Co salt of a 8W 16C aliphatic monocarboxylic acid (e.g. naphthenic acid) or of a chelate compound such as acetylacetonate, (B) an alkali or alkaline earth metal salt of a 8W 16C aliphatic monocarboxylic acid (e.g. Na octylate), and (C) copper salt of a 8W16C aliphatic monocarboxylic acid or a chelate compound such as acetylacetonate (e.g. copper acetylacetonate). The amounts of the components (A), (B), and (C) (as metal) are 0.001W0.05%, 0.01W0.1%, and 0.001W0.01% by weight of the unsaturated polyester composition, respectively. Each of the components (A)W(C) is preferably used as 2W10wt% solution of an organic solvent (e.g. toluene).
