Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the influence of post-hardening property and humidity to gelatin for photo-sensitized material, and to accelerate the rate of hardening, by the combined use of a vinylbenzenesulfinic acid polymer, a specific urea compound and an hardening agent containing active vinyl group.
CONSTITUTION: Gelatin is mixed with (A) a polymer composed of the recurring unit of formulaI(R is H, 1W6C alkyl or halogen; M is alkali metal, organic base, etc.; m is 0W2; n is 1 or 2), e.g. the polymer composed of the recurring unit of formula II, (B) a urea compound of formula III (R1 and R2 are H, 1W6C alkyl, etc.), e.g. urea, and (C) a hardening agent containing active vinyl group (e.g. the compound of formula IV). The amount of the recurring unitIin the gelatin composition is ≥1mol%, and that of the component (A) is 1W20wt% of the sum of the solid content of the gelatin and the component (A). The amounts of the components (B) and (C) are 1W20% and 0.1W10% of the solid content of the gelatin, respectively.
