Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a paper position control circuit for printer which comprises advancing pulse output device, paper feed means, adjustment switch, output pulse number control means, means to increase or decrease pulse, etc. and in which only switch manipulation can easily effect paper position adjustment. CONSTITUTION:A counter timer 5 counts clock pulses based on the data sent from a micro-processor unit (MPU) 1, and generates stepping pulse H of a specified period, and an interrupt controller 6 notifies the MPU1 of the time of output of stepping pulse and also of the time of issuing time measurment pulse C for the MPU1 to measure elapsed time. The operation signals D1 and D2 of a paper position adjustment switch 9 are input through a chatter removal circuit 8 to the I/O port 4 and the port 4 outputs feed direction signals F1 and F2. After the stepping pulse H from the counter timer 5 is input with the feed direction signals F1 and F2 to a driver control circuit 10 and divided according to the direction of the paper feed, it drives a driver circuit 11 and a step motor 12.
