Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture a corrosion inhibitor inhibiting the corrosion of many kinds of metals in a circulation cooling system and preventing the leaching and precipiitation of copper ions by combinedly using benzotriazoles and cyclic amines contg. nitrogen.
CONSTITUTION: This corrosion inhibitor contains ≥1 kind of benzotriazole represented by the general formula (where X is H, 1W8 C alkyl, halogen, nitro or OH, and Y is H or OH) and ≥1 kind of cyclic amine contg. nitrogen as effective components. All of industrially stably manufactured benzotriazole, etc. can be used as the benzotriazole, and the cyclic amine contg. nitrogen is piperidine, pyridine, piperazine, pyrazine, pyrrolidine or pyrimidine. By making the amount of the used cyclic amine equal to or larger than the amount of the used benzotriazole by mole, a synergistic effect is shown. This corrosion inhibitor can be also used to prevent the discoloration of copper or copper alloy.
