Abstract
PURPOSE:To make operation easy and quick by penetrating a laminated mandrel through a straight pipe and pulling out plates forming the mandrel successively after bending by a press. CONSTITUTION:A mandrel B is constructed by piling plates 1 which widen from the center to both sides, and penetrated through a straight pipe. After heating the mandrel B together with the straight pipe to proper temperature, the straight pipe is placed on a fixed die 2 of a press die. After that, the straight pipe and the mandrel B are bent to arcuate form with forming grooves 4, 5 of a movable die 3 and the fixed die 2 by foreward movement of the movable die 3. After bending, formed bent pipe A' is taken out and the center plate 1 of the mandrel 1 is cut by fusion to make clearance between the inner periphery of the bent pipe A' and outside plates 1. The plates are pulled out successively to obtain a bent pipe A'. Pulled out plates are heated to proper temperature and made flat by a press and reutilized.
