Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate a miss-separated transfer paper to be taken out even by a user, by generating a second power from an AC high voltage source when miss-separation of a transfer paper occurs, in order to separate it with a destaticizer from a phtoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 1 is desensitized by corona discharge of a destaticizer 20 and light irradiation after normal separation of a transfer paper, but when a separation detector cannot detect the paper at a predetermined timing because of occurence of mis-separation, high voltage is applied to the corona discharge electrode of the destaticizer 20 from an AC high voltage source by control of a controller C, and the paper is separated from the surface of the drum 1 by corona discharge, and the separated paper is moved along a guide plate 22.
