Abstract
PURPOSE:To stably operate with an AVR a generator by always applying a constant predetermined exciting amount to a field coil of the generator at no load time and applying the increment of the necessary exciting mount with the effective power by the operation of an effective power relay. CONSTITUTION:A value set by a field regulator 21 and a field current are compared by a comparator 23 at no load operating time of a small-capacity water- wheel generator 1, a pulse generator 2 is opeated, and the current of a field coil 4 is controlled by a thyristor 3. When the generator 1 generates the effective power, a contact 26 is closed by the output of an effective power relay 22, the excitation strengthening signal of a sub field regulator 25 is applied to the comparator 23, the output of the thyristor 3 is increased that much and is supplied to the field coil 4. Accordingly, the large variation of the reactive power at the system voltage varying time can be removed, and the operating point can be improved in stability even under any load condition as allowable operating range.
