Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve evaporating, condensing and heat transmitting performance of a heat transfer tube without increasing the pressure loss, by forming many spiral grooves in the inner wall surface of the heat transfer tube, and selecting the opposite lead angles of two groups of spiral grooves intersecting to each other to the axis of the heat transfer tube, and the depth and pitches of the grooves respectively at specific values within a limited range. CONSTITUTION:A heat transfer tube a is formed in its inner surface with many spiral grooves b1, b2 for exchanging heat between a coolant passed through the inside of the tube a and a fluid passed through the outside of the tube a by evaporating and condensing the coolant. The two groups of spiral grooves b1, b2 are formed to intersect to each other. Here, arrangtement is such that the opposite lead angles alpha1, alpha2 of the two groups of spiral grooves to the axis A of the tube a are selected to be within the range of 5-45 degrees, and the depth of the grooves b1, b2 is selected within the ranfe of 0.05-0.75mm.. Futher, the pitches p1, p2 of the grooves b1, b2 are selected to be 0.2-1.0mm..
