Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency of operation of a refrigerator, by providing an arithmetic circuit for calculating the enthalpy of open air and a function generating circuit which produces an output obtained by transforming the output of said arithmetic circuit by a predetermined function, and controlling the temperature of cooling water by using the output of said function generating circuit as a set value. CONSTITUTION:A control system of this invention comprises an arithmetic circuit 18 for calculating the enthalpy of open air from the output of a means 16 for detecting the temperature of open air and the output of a means 17 for detecting the temperature of open air and a function generating circuit 19 which is afforded with the output of the arithmetic circuit 18 as an input thereto for producing a function of the enthalpy of open air to the inlet temperature of cooling water. The output of the function generating circuit 19 is applied as a set value to a temperature on-off controller 21 via a setting circuit 20. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to keep the temperature of air at the outlet of a cooling fan (not shown) constant through control of the temperature of cooling water for a refrigertor and to raise the efficiency of operation of the refrigerator while satisfying the cooling load of the refrigerator.
