PURPOSE:To lessen the shrinkage ration between top and bottom, by stretching the film or the sheet in the lateral direction more than 1.2 times and less than 5.0 times at the stretching temperature 70-110 deg.C and at the same time shrinking and relaxing in the longitudinal direction by 3-10% on the label for shrinkage labelling of the container etc. CONSTITUTION:An unstretched film or sheet (hereafter, it is called film) is formed by melt-extruding from the die the resin formulation in which vinylchloride resin of vinylchloride monopolymer, copolymer of vinylchloride and copolymerizable monomer of vinylacetate etc. is incorporated with organic tin type stabilizer, plasticizer, lubricant etc. The film is stretched by the tenter in the lateral direction more than 1.2 times and less than 5 times at 70-110 deg.C and shrunk, relaxed in the longitudinal direction by 3-10% so as the shrinkage or the extension between top and bottom does not become large. By this, the laterally uniaxially stretched film of which the lateral shrinkage characteristic is not impared and the appearance is not worsened is manufactured.
