Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent reduction in power transmission efficiency and heat generation by embedding a sheet-like reinforcement which is bent in a wave form and extends lengthwise, in a V-belt wherein a core is embedded, thereby preventing deformation caused by side pressure. CONSTITUTION:A V-belt body 1 which is made of an elastic substance such as rubber and has a V-shaped section has an upper canvas 2 thereon, a lower canvas 3 thereunder and a lengthwise core 4 embedded therein. In addition, a reinforcement 7 made of a sheet of unwoven fabric or paper which is bent in a wave form and extends lengthwise is embedded in the V-belt body 1, thereby improving transverse stiffness.
