Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain color images which do not cause desensitization, photographic fog and stains after long-time preservation by developing a photographic material contained with a specific aromatic primary amine color developing agent or its salt or Schiff base in the presence of a cross-oxidizing agent. CONSTITUTION:The aromatic primary amine color developing agent expressed by the formula (R1-R4 are H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, Z is a nonmetallic atom group necessary for forming a saturated 5-7 membered heterocycle contgn nitrogen atom) or its salt or Schiff base is contained in a photographic material. It is more preferable to contain the same in an intermediate layer or the like containing no silver halide. This photosensitive material is processed with an activator in the presence of a cross-oxidizing agent, whereby dye images are formed. The cross-oxidizing agent (preferably 3-pyrazolidone deriv.) may be incorporated into the photosensitive material. In this way, the superior images which have no degradation in characteristics and have high coloring density after preservation are obtained.
