Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase sensitivity and to rapidly process a silver halide photographic material not accompanied by fog increase and grain coarsening, by developing the material with a developing solution containing a specified amine compound (salt). CONSTITUTION:An amine compound (salt) represented by general formula I (R1, R2 are H, alkyl, or aryl; A is H, alkyl, aryl, or alkyl substituted by guanidyl and/or a heterocyclic group, or the like), such as formula II or III is added to a developing solution or a bath preceding to this. The addition amount is preferably about 0.05- 100g/liter, more preferably 0.1-25g/liter when added to the developer, and preferably about 0.01-50g per mole of silver halide when added to a silver halide emulsion.
