Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of the captioned unit by forming a wind passage in a smoothly bent L-shape Venturi type and enabling the bent wind passage trance provided for the porpose of following the wind direction to be attached rotatably and coaxially to the Venturi type wind passage. CONSTITUTION:A wind passage consists of an entarance portion 1, a bent portion 5, and an exit portion 2 to form a Venturi configuration smoothly bent in a L-shape. A bent wind passage frame 11 following the wind direction is rotatably and coaxially fixed to the Venturi type wind passage. The wind entering the entrance portion 1 increases its speed as the passage narrows, curves upwardly as it passes through the bent portion 5, and outflows through the exit portion 2 after applying rotary torque to a wind wheel 13. In order to respond to any change of wind flow direction, the passage frame 11 is driven by a rotary drive apparatus 12 to shift the entrance 6 in the wind direction. Consequently, pressure loss and delay in following any change of wind direction can be decreased.
