Abstract

PURPOSE: To accelerate a tape feed speed and to improve a pitch correction precision, by a method wherein driving of two rollers is switched by means of an electromagnetic clutch, and this enables a feed of a pattern-printed tape to be changed in two stage.
CONSTITUTION: In case an electromagnetic clutch 4 is set into an OFF condition, a drive shaft 61 drives a delay roller 12 through gears 71, 73, a one-way clutch 8, and a shaft 52. A tape 9 is fed out through the nip formed between a free roller 2 and the roller 12, and a roller 11 serves as a driven roller thereon. With the electromagnetic clutch 4 brought into an ON condition, the roller 1 is driven serving as the drive roller. The speed of the roller 11 is faster, and as a result, the tape 9 is increased in a feed rate. This causes switching in two-stage of a tape feed speed, correction of a feed distance, and acceleration of a tape feed speed, and permits the improvement of a pitch correction precision.
