Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the uniform mask convergence effect and an excellent regenerated high bright picture in a whole picture screen, by making the curvature of the first aperture mask placed on a fluorescent surface side different from the curvature of the second aperture mask placed on an electron gun side. CONSTITUTION:According as the distance between 3 and 4 of the first and second aperture mask is made large, the convergence effect decreases, according as said distance is small, said effect increases, and thereby slippage from the optimum value of beam size caused by q-change can be corrected. Consequently, the distance between masks is set in the predetermined value so that the center or the circumference of the picture screen may be in optimum conditions, and thereby the optimum convergence conditions can be obtained in the whole picture screen. Thus, a high bright, excellent picture can be obtained without inviting the guard-band decrease, brightness-irregularity and color-temperature unevenness.
