Abstract
PURPOSE: To contrive to reduce a material and a processing cost by a method wherein plural coating member forming molds having a shape the same as that of the padded surface of a suction and exhaust valve are arranged and a thin film ring is fabricated by carrying out flame spray coating against the surface thereof to be subjected to the flame spray coating and said thin film ring is inlaid in and fused to the valve face of said valve.
CONSTITUTION: Plural thin film ring forming molds 3 are fixed to a shaft 5 in the same direction and, while rotated, heated until a flame spray coating surfaces 4 come to a dimension same to that of a valve face surface 2 and, while a flame spraying gun 10 is reciprocated, a self-meltable alloy 11 is flame sprayed to the flame spraying surfaces 4 over the total periphery thereof to form thin film rings 12 with a uniform thickness. Following said spraying, the forming molds 3 are cooled to detach said ring 12 and the ring 12 is inlaid to the face surface 2 of a suction and exhaust valve 1 under pressure. The suction and exhaust valve inlaid with the ring 12 is attached to the high frequency heating coil of a fusion bonding apparatus and, after attachment, rotated around the shaft thereof as a center and the ring 12 is uniformly heated by the high frequency coil to form the homogenous padded layer with a uniform thickness on the valve of surface 2.
