Abstract
PURPOSE: To collect and remove floated solid fine particles in a gas in good efficiency by the titled apparatus with a simple structure wherein an electrode electrostatically adsorbing charged particles has conductivity as well as an elemental material having a continuous porous structure is formed into a honeycomb shape.
CONSTITUTION: The dust collecting apparatus is equipped with a charging means 2 charging floated particles in a gas introduced by a blower apparatus 1 and an electrode 3 electrostatically adsorbing charged particles. Air is introduced into the dust collecting apparatus from an air introducing port 4a to remove only relatively large floated particles therein by a filter 5 and small floated particles are charged in a charging chamber 6 and the charged particles are electrostatically attracted on each surfaces of the electrode and adsorbed thereon when passed through the honeycomb like electrode 3. Because the electrode 3 has a continuous porous structure, once adsorbed charged particles are made to enter into a fine pore structure of the electrode 3 even after the charge thereof in lost and collected therein.
