Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform tracking control operation stably and precisely to reproduce main information signal appropriately by reproducing a reference signal recorded on a main track by means of a single scanning needle and using the said signal as an index pulse. CONSTITUTION:An input signal fsc is supplide to dividers 2, 3, 4 and gate circuits 5, 6, 7 and tracking control reference signals fp1, fp2, fp3 are outputted, respectively. The signal fp3 and a main information signal from an input terminal 14 and the signals fp1 and fp2 are mixed respectively in mixers 15, 11. After passing through a light modulator 57 for regulating the quantity of light, a laser beam from a laser source 55 is penetrated into a half mirror 58 and supplied to light modulator 59 to be modulated by a superposition signal from the mixer 15 and the 1st modulated light beam is outputted. A time-division multiplex signal of the signals fp1, fp2 from an output terminal 12 is applied to a light modulator 60 and the 2nd modulated light beam is outputted, introduced into a deflecting prism 62 together with the 1st modulated light beam and condensed on an original disc 65.
