CONSTITUTION:N sets of multiheads consisting of n sets of heads are arranged with a rotating cylinder 401 in the angle of 360 deg./N, and a magnetic tape 406 is wound on the cylinder in almost 360 deg./N and is run. A head interval (d) of each multihead is set to an interval N(n+1) times the track pitch formed with the magnetic tape.
